This is the road to Prudhoe Station, this happened repeatedly over the weekend and was drained by the fire brigade a few times

Sudbury branch operated by a 153 with bus supplement at peak times.
Felixstowe branch suspended & RR bus in operation.

Both due to damage to units over the weekend. On the plus side 156418 which had serious damage after a tree collision near Hethersett last month was returned to traffic yesterday.

And without the massive ugly steelwork of the GWML.
The HS1 OLE mainly only spans two tracks, hence independant cantilever masts per track, closer spacing of supports, higher conductor wire tension and total freedom to place masts. GWR, limited space to locate four track OLE, longer spans, higher traffic density. Flaky headspans have proven to be a false economy.
Series 1 OLE "Ugly"? That's a subjective view. It's fit for purpose and at last function has won over style, - it's a working railway, get over it.

The Argyle line was closed yesterday evening due to flooding at Dalmarnock station.
Yes, given Saturday’s downpour alongside rain virtually all day Sunday at the top of England plus much of south & central Scotland, Im surprised more lines weren’t ultimately affected
