seems a bit strange, there are some dodgy people about in this day and age,

was at Carlisle on Thursday and was informed that young females after dark wearing very little have been approaching trainspotters and offering themselves saying "would you like session" and pointing to the toilets,

the station staff had been informed and apparently these females had been thrown off the station on tuesday night but still returned!,

pity you werent there then ajp

didn't say you were!,

"6M60 Seaton Flasks" had said to me earlier about a Tamworth allnighter,
that had another werid goings on,

a young girl about 14 and her mate about the same age were at the station waiting for a train on the high level and the police turned up and questioned her and then removed her from the station with her mate. Me and my Dad(David) started to talk to a few regular spotters who said that this young girl was from a children's home(or whatever the new name is) and kept on trying to run away from this home with her mate, who wasn't from the home just a friend.

About half an hour later this young girl and her mate turned up again and waited on the high level and the same thing happened again, the station staff had alerted the police that they had returned, within about 20mins the police showed and escorted them away again after f'in and Blinding from this girl, they tried this at least another two times and didn't manage to get away until after the staff had gone home after 22:00 they them boarded a central trains service. Everything seems to happen at trainstations!

nice to see something getting delt with for a change, in this day normally people are not threatened by the thought of the Police or BTP and now police cant give anybody a good slap around the head or they couldnt be charged for assault!

the funniest/most shocked thing i have seen had to be last week though when the horse was on the track at Seaton Snook Junction:)

I think that the horse had managed to jump over a broken fence trackside and then walked underneath the bridge we(me +dad) were standing on, we both looked at each other in shock and were like bloody hell!, as at the same moment the 6M60 Seaton Flasks approached the end of their branch to the Power Station and stopped at a red signal as the units Southbound and Northbound were due. The horse was walking inbetween the two mainlines at the time, my dad was going to walk down onto the track as there is a nearby signal to ring the signalman but the bridge had a sudden drop and no possbile save way to get to the track.

The Southbound unit(142) approached the junction at only about 35mph at the most as he had just called at Seaton Carew station and as soon as the driver seen the horse, he stopped and after about 2 mins pulled away, the northbound unit passed but the flasks still didn't get signalled away, probabiles due to the fact the horse may of got scared with a 20+37 thrashing towards him, as the DRS driver would not of been able to see the horse until very late as the horse was on the Northbound side of the bridge.

I then decided to take a few shots of the horse getting escorted off the track by its owner and the weird goings on, the shots can be found on my fotopic http://davidpaul-photographs.fotopic.net

cheers

Paul

Life is wierd.

Go to Soho or any 'red-light district' one day, thatll open your eyes. Drink, drugs, whores, violance and every other indecent thing under the sun are everywhere and unfortunatly, seem to be spreading. :(

I was guilty of being on a train drunk (ok, pretty bloody smashed :|) last night , and i feel bad about it.

But really....ive seen and heard much worse, and if you think a few prostitutes, some pi$$ed footy fans and AWOL horses and foster children are bad, you would have a heart attack if i told you my stories............:blob5:

Sounds like half of Southampton on a Friday and Saturday night. It's like it 24/7 round by Northam and Mount Pleasant

I was once getting onto the metro in north shields and a charve passed out from loads of drink onto the track (posponing the metro's for hours...) then the police started shouting at eachother about who was going to go onto the track to get the dude, (which took 10mins) when the ambulance crew came down and took the dude away, the police didnt do anything. it was kinda amusing

Surely you know, by now, that Grimbarians are very random and enjoy generally making a mess of things or throwing bottles around ;) ;)

With a spanner in hand in D212's engine room
I remember on the Saturday night before the Rhymney event.
Me, Yorkie, Tom Donnelly, Metrocammel and Joy54.gen were on a 142 (apparantly a 37 according to Joy54!) going from Cardiff to somewhere else and there was a largeish gang of very drunk football supporters on the train. They were told to stop plenty of times by the train Conductor, and once by the driver, I think. The BTP were then set on them, they got off at Bargoed (or was it Caerphilly) and, of all luck, the police were waiting at the next station along the line, where we got off! :s
The funny thing was that they were shouting at the tops of their voices and Yorkie was telling us to keep a low profile! Though I must say that Yorkie was really trying his best to keep us all safe! Thanks mate!

One other annoying thing happened to me and my mate on our journey between York and Doncaster on a GNER service. We got nice and settled at a table in on of the Standard coaches and just as the train was about to set off a couple of idiots came and sat at the opposite table, got their radio out and tuned into bl00dy football! Me and my mate were pretty p1$$ed off by this so I found us another table in the next coach. Though the good thing is it was a near enough empty train! :p

You can add the 23:48 Glasgow Queen Street to Perth on that list as well, although its quite amusing seeing people who should have got off at Lenzie waking up in Larbert, must be even worse if you wake up in Perth!

some kids a little bit older about 10/11 were walking next to all the diggers constructing the new Sunderland Southern Radial Route throwing stones at them, then they crossed over all 5 lines at Ryhope Grange about 1/2 mins before 60060 had shown up on 6E55 Shap-Tees Yard :@ its not as though the trains can stop quickly when they are doing about 45mph or more with a full rake behind them!

If kids are like this now what are they going to be like when we are old! lol

I remember seeing a photo somewhere of some kids climbing on the OHLE (actually touching the wires!!) at Park Lane a while ago. Luckily for them it was switched off at the time :?
