No, I've never heard of any records for that.

If you miss a train on the 'Dearn Valley Line' it could cause a bit of a problem ;) (2 trains each way, per day)

I would do it, the only problem is that people's plans would all end up the same because of Pontefract Baghill.

Unless of course, you could go to a station without using a train to get there <D

but you'd be spending a lot of time at Leeds :P

Well you could do it in either direction, and there are 2 each way so thats 4 possibilities. Also people could choose to get from Micklefield to Pontefract via Church Fenton or go into or out of Leeds, or find a bus.

Also everything either side of those trains could be completely different.

So, ultimately I disagree that the plans would be the same.

I would be up for a specific day of this, starting at Leeds at a particular time and groups of 2 (or more) go round.

Similar rules to the Underground competition, so public transport (e.g. buses) allowed.

and you would have to stop at every station I would say, so you couldn't say you've been to outwood if you went on a GNER between Leeds and Wakey.

I can see Moorthorpe to South Elmsall, the Pontefracts, the Bradfords being possible walks (or buses in the case of the former). At least we have some practice of them ;)

Denby Dale to Darton may be tricky...
