I'm spending most of next week travelling around the South West and South Wales, and as an uninformed idiot who lives over the other side of the country in Norwich, I was wondering about what I could expect on my journeys. I have booked or have plans to use the following services:
Later in the week I'm visiting Birmingham before heading back to London. I'm booked on the 1830 CrossCountry service between Temple Meads and New Street on Thursday, and I was wondering if this is a service operated by HSTs?
Similarly, the 1705 Chiltern service between Snow Hill and Marylebone on Friday, what is the likelihood of this being operated by a Class 68 with MK3s?
- The 1300 GWR service from Paddington to Temple Meads - is this still booked for HSTs or do the 800s rule the roost here.
- The 0717 GWR service from Temple Meads to Cardiff Central - same question really.
- Are Pacers allocated to specific Valley Lines routes/services, or can they be found on any service?
- GWR services between Cardiff and Taunton - what is the allocated stock here?
