It was mentioned several months ago that Network Rail had authorised LOROL to enable the 378 fleet to switch between 25Kv AC to 750V DC when in motion at the AC/DC switch at North Pole. On recent occasions I have traveled on the WLL this has indeed occurred but on Tuesday my LOROL service did stop to change supply. Any reason to why trains have returned to stopping to swap flavors?
I noticed that ever since LOROL did begin changing voltages in motion the services have been arriving approximately 3-4 mins early at Shepherd's Bush, I guess there is slack incorporated in to the timetable to enable the stop for the supply change.
