West Midlands Metro extension to Wolverhampton Station

All seems to have gone quiet on this extension recently.

I understand that the extension has been fully built but is awaiting the final demolition of the old ticket hall at Wolverhampton Station.

Does anyone know how it is progressing?

The Ticket Hall has been flattened the bay at the end of Platform 5 also knocked down the tram track laid month's ago that's ready to go still plenty to do

I had considered going there around Easter but now accept that the extension will not be open by then. I shall look out for whether it will be open in June at least.

Thanks, I know not to plan a visit there yet. I may now wait until the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham next year. Hopefully some 196 & 730s will be in service by then too.
