In certain situations, particularly severe weather events, Network Rail and West Midlands Trains will give consideration to implementation of a contingency timetable. West Midlands Trains currently has only 1 severe weather timetable, for use during a major snow and ice event. The timetable currently does not have accompanying rolling stock or train crew diagrams, and as such, its usefulness is reduced, as is the likelihood of its usage.
