Couple of questions on the above if I may please. Does the below linked document count as the terms and conditions of a West Yorkshire Day Saver ticket for the purposes of Condition 14.3 of the National Rail Conditions of Carriage?

Secondly, am I missing anything that will prevent the ticket being used in conjunction with a point to point ticket to the boundary on a train that does not stop (ie use in conjunction with a York - Micklefield ticket on a non stopping TPE or Cross Country service)?

The reason I ask is that I seem to recall this formerly not being permitted under condition 14.3 with West Yorks tickets and also recall them having a myriad of conflicting peices of documentation.

Metro publishes a cross boundary travel leaflet however it hasn't been updated since 2018.

I believe the general view of the forum is that rail operators should permit cross boundary travel with no need to stop at the changeover station, as the products are zonal/area-based so should be allowed under NRCoT condition 14.2. It is considered unlikely that the necessary conditions are met for NRCoT condition 14.3 to include that leaflet and restrict ticket combinations. I think the leaflet is still not mentioned in terms and conditions or otherwise advised to passengers when purchasing Metro ticketing products.

In practice issues are most likely to be encountered on XC or LNER services if splitting a ticket at a boundary station, but if challenged it should help to be familiar with NRCoT Condition 14.2 and explain it to the staff member.

Wasn't 14.2 changed a few years ago (previously it only applied to rovers and season tickets which were valid for multiple (3 minimum?) days? It seems likely that the leaflet hasn't been updated since then.

The conditions in your link are those that now apply, and seem to differ from the conditions applied to the old WY Day Rover, which was valid only to the last calling point within WY. As it is a WY product, not a "national" product, they can specify the conditions. It does say that you can travel beyond the boundaries provided you have bought the required ticket (before you travel is implied.)

Said change was made when the NRCOT was introduced - must be a few years ago now.

Those conditions don't mention the specific issue of trains not stopping at the boundary station, though.

The NRCoT was last updated in 2019. The relevant section says:

14.2. If you are using a Season Ticket, daily Zonal Ticket, or another area based Ticket such as a concessionary pass, ranger or rover in conjunction with another Ticket and the last station at which one Ticket is valid and the first station that the other Ticket is valid are the same, then the train does not need to call at that station for your combination to be valid.
