Ok so on the National Rail Rovers and Rangers page, I don’t believe the West Yorkshire Train Day Rover is listed. However, the page for it still exists with no notice or anything. Does it still exist?

Any help would be appreciated

Watch out for the evening peak restriction on weekdays - this makes it sgnificantly less useful than before they brought in evening peak fares.

The West Yorkshire Train-only Day Rover and the Countywide Bus and train tickets are valid boarding any train scheduled to depart 0930 – 1600 and from 1830, Monday to Friday, and all day at weekends and public holidays.

The info provided via the link in post #2 seems to suggest otherwise unless it's a variant product...

WY DaySaver Train: £8.10 from a Rail Station ticket office. Enjoy unlimited off-peak train travel across West Yorkshire.

I pointed out that you need to watch out for the evening peak restriction (most rover tickets don't have one).

The description says that it's valid for 'off-peak train travel'.

Can't see any contradiction there?

16:01-18:29 Monday-Friday is peak time for journeys wholly within West Yorkshire

Not so well explained as it perhaps might be, IMHO.

Compare with the wording for the Countryside Bus and train ticket, which does seem to spell out the relevant time restrictions.

Countywide Bus only and Countywide Bus and train tickets are valid on any bus from 0930 and on any train from 0930 to 1601, and from 1830, Monday to Friday, and all day at weekends and public holidays.

The evening peak restrictions in West Yorkshire aren't very sensible anyway as they apply in both directions - a typical evening "peak" train from Ilkley to Leeds, say, is not going to be very busy most of the time.

And the evening peak restrictions don't apply to journeys starting / ending outside West Yorkshire, or to any other rover tickets.

No but it is somewhat simpler to apply a uniform restriction and catch peak time travel from Huddersfield, Keighley, Bradford, Halifax, Dewsbury, Wakefield (and everywhere else) than it is to just apply it to departures from Leeds. It isn't a measure aimed at overcrowding, is one specifically aimed at increasing revenue from peak time travel.

If you click the link that says "By Train Company" and then click "Northern", then the Rover appears on the list.
