Well, Newcastle certainly has many entertaining shipping yards  ;)

With regards to the whale, notice the guy who spotted it actually thought he was hallucinating lol

Must have been an amazing sight :)

Now, if a dolphin ever managed to get up the North Tyne to Wark, that would be a real story!

(Cue Vera Lynn): "Whale meat again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know whale meat again some sunny day...."

(If you need that joke explaining, ask your grandparents!!).

Or ask me: "We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know we'll meet again some sunny day...."

It's trying to find the M4 to get to Whales. ;)
it's probably looking for City Airport so it can take Air Whales flight back home :)

(I don't reckon an ATR42 would cope with a whale
or
the whale had lost it's atlas and bumped into London by accident

Whales do explode - somewhere in Thailand they were moving a dead one to a laboratory on a lorry and it exploded. It transpired someone had forgotten to make the nescesarry punctures in the internals to allow CO2 to disperse from the breakdown of the whale. They were plastering bits of intestine off the buildings for weeks.

A similar thing happened in the Firth of Forth a while ago:

Maybe, If you try swim below the Thames, and look for any Eurostars, and actually find some, you could get a news story done by the media about your event.

Or how about swimming to France anyway, and saying "London 2012"- they probablly wouldn't understand you normally, but now...

(And try to return by swimming back through the channel, and up via the Thames)
