I'll summarise some of the day:

Got the 0700 to Cardiff.
Attended the naming from the sidelines.
Got up by the beasts (139 and 004) after the ceremony and VIPs were done.
GOT INVITED INTO 43004'S CAB!
Camera broke down, no pictures.
Watched 004 start up, very quiet
Went to BTM
Ticked off Lawerence Hill and Stapleton Road
Got 221102 to BP, 180101 to Newport
43003 to Cardiff
180110 to Swansea

Guess what? This is my Top Event of 2005!

I was at Ealing Broadway all afternoon that day trying to spot 43004 without no success whatsoever, EVERY HST that passed me at Ealing I had already spotted! Although I did spot my last 3 car FGWL 165 Turbo and 59002, so not so bad.

Only need a few more FGW HSTs to complete them (004, 005, 019, 029, 139, 181)

004 went back with 139 to St. Phillips Marsh on Wednesday. I'd imagine it re-entered service on Thursday, to some extent. It will certainly be back out starting next week!

019 is, as I thought everyone knew, is now officially confirmed as a write-off, it being removed from the NR systems a few months ago.

029 is apparently back around the network, I haven't seen it in the last month though.

005 should be out too, although where it is I don't know!

139 was out with 004 on Wednesday, it's been out loads lately down here!

181 has not been involved in anything lately, so should be in normal service.

Thanks for that, so all except 019 are in traffic, they are hiding from me then!

I hear 43019 is still at Crewe works, wonder whether it will still be there in Sptember...

We shall see!

I'll PM or SMS you if I see any of them on a service off here, which would give you a little over 2 hours to get to Ealing Broadway to see them!

Yes, it was the leading 43 in the Ufton Nervet incident, it having not long come off a service from either Swansea or Cardiff, although I'm sure it was one from Swansea.

Which reminds me about something I've forgot to put in my signature...
