Chertsey, a pathetic town in the south
my brain

a shovel and pricker (preferably a shovel without holes rusted through)

an old paintbrush (well we can't have the footplate covered in muck can we?)

a small wire brush (to clean verdigris off the gauge glasses brasswork)

assorted rags

oil can (sometimes go without)

PKP coat (occasionally referred to as the "doctors coat" due to its length)

hammer (to smash coal up)

length of wire (to rod through clogged oil lines)

small adjustable spanner so I can undo the steam brake exhaust for lubrication of the brake cylinder.

if I need anything else I sponge off others. One thing I never have is a lighter, so I can't start the fire in the morning!

I have all sorts of keys, half of which I don't have a clue what they do. The ones I do know include BR1 key, t key, set of station keys.
Bardic, high vis, shunters smock thing, huge holdall, wintercoat, rubberised waterproof coat thing, bodywarmer, whistle, pens and junk, watch, 'uniform' (which stooped to a new low of white shirt and black trousers on saturday), toe cap boots, WTT booklet, local instructions booklet thing, signalling diagrams, t key holder thing, paper wtt (invaluable for shunt hand signals), some gloves, work permit/grade card

And the one you've all forgotten which is disgraceful,

TEA
