What happened to pocket timetables?

Due to GTR making trains vanishing from the online timetable over the past few months, I thought it was worthwhile asking for a paper copy of "the truth", but today I was handed a pile of huge A4 timetables.

Is this a recent change or have the pocket paper timetables of old been gone for longer?

Printed timetables for GTR are available, just that they are the original May version.

There is a printed booklet available for the 15 July GN amended timetable - there were copies in the racks at Cambridge this morning.

The pages in the GTR one are in the wrong order....
