That was only for the launch PR for the factory, I think, and they were removed before the unit entered service.

Only the one vehicle was done, and only on the one side.

Thats a shame, would be nice as a sort of special livery
Indeed, quite a striking livery, but considering that Transport for Wales doesn't have a fleet of Class 195s or that Northern Rail 195s visit Welsh destinations, it will be a memory

Some people seem to count Chester as being in Wales (see Arriva bus website)!

That wouldn't be allowed in service as the doors are not contrasting.

The doors are contrasting, blue instead of white?
Also, there's junk all over the windows. Liveries shouldn't block windows.
If it was going into service, they would probably use the one-way stickers that are used for bus advertisements :

Official name - Contravision. You can still see out though it as it is perforated, but cant easily see in.

That's right! I was trying to remember what the name for it was, and couldn't. It's not too common over here, but in Singapore and Hong Kong lots of buses have them.

It's crap though - like looking out through a fog. Northern tried it a few years ago on the 158s, then got a load of complaints because people couldn't see out properly (really smart move to put them on the units which run the Settle-Carlisle line, where people often travel specifically to look out!). They eventually removed the bits over the windows, fortunately.

And it catches water too, so after even a small drizzle it's totally impossible to see through. Hateful stuff.
