You don't. It's for what was the Virgin Trains Travellers Club (I might not have got the name exactly right), as a way of providing complimentary fares. As the fares system does not support £0.00 fares, they had to be entered as £0.05 in the fares system, though they were still complimentary to the end customer.
Just because a fare shows on BR fares, doesn't mean it's actually available to purchase. Plenty of 10p advances come up for Northern too, which were only available for a limited period as a promotion. At the other end of the scale, there's also £9,999 fares shown occasionally....
