Yes to the former. Unlikely for the latter with a target date of 2019.

Apart from Paddington to Abbey Wood, I am not aware of any other contenders for heavy rail stations opening in 2018.

There are 6 new stations in Scotland that I believe have both funding secured and timetabling of services agreed with Transport Scotland / Network Rail / Scotrail. Only 1 looks likely to reopen in 2018:

Dalcross is potentially still on schedule to open in 2018:

Of the others:
Robroyston is scheduled to be December 2019
Kintore looks like being 2019 as well.
Winchburgh has funding in place but seems tight to complete construction in 12 months for a reopening in 2018 so 2019 is the most likely date as well.
East Linton and Reston are somewhere in the 2021 to 2023 range.

Yes, early 2019 unless they get a good run. Not aware if they have started on site yet.

London Bridge is fully re-opening. Guess that doesn't quite count though.

All the Crossail central section stations in December 2018, major new stations but all attached to existing ones.

Woolwich is a new station, on the Abbey Wood branch - I think Canary Wharf is operationally separate.

Correct. At one point CW station was known as 'Isle of Dogs' to differentiate it.

And hence why Woolwich is just plain 'Woolwich', not 'Woolwich Arsenal'.

The OP didn't restrict it to NR, just heavy rail. You could grouse that Broadway is "just" a re-opening though... I wouldn't, I think it and the track reinstatement are both stunning achievements.

Using this thread's replies so far:

2018
Certain: Maghull North; Rotherham Parkgate

2019
Likely: Warrington West; Robroyston; Worcestershire Parkway
Maybe: Dalcross; Kintore; Winchburgh

Beyond 2020
East Linton; Renton

Why not the Abbey Wood line stations?
The only "new" station on Crossrail is Woolwich which was mentioned in item 14 above. All the other stations on the route are interchange with existing LU or NR stations.
