Hi all,

Some questions for those of you more knowledgeable than I on these matters.

What type of stock/class of loco/unit would work the following services:

ICE315 Bruxelles Midi train to Frankfurt Hbf?

ICE229 Frankfurt Hbf to Wien Hbf?

TGV9575 Paris Est to Stuttgart Hbf?

ICE599 Stuttgart Hbf to Munchen Hbf?

NJ295/NJ40295 Muchen Hbf to Salzburg Hbf?

RJX367 Salzburg Hbf to Wien Hbf?

EN463 Munchen Hbf to Wien Hbf?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks.

I'll have a look on Spotlog at the numbering systems :)

The UIC system is used Europe-wide; Eurostar has it too, along with Caledonian Sleeper and TPE's new stuff.

As for NightJet, the carriages are mostly ex-DB Comfortline ones that they took over when CityNightLine shutdown in 2016, along with some double decker stock; they are going to get some new stuff soon as they expand operations.

TGV 9575 would be a TGV 2N2. Either a 2N2 3UA (Class TGV 310000, Series 4700) or a 2N2 3UH (Class TGV 310200, Series 800).

ANY ICE or TGV is of course fixed sets.
NJ,RJ, EN are loco hauled and this is as such changeable, but the 3 mentioned will likely be all OeBB, perhaps not on the whole route.

For future reference, a search on bahnbilder.de provides answers to most.

EN463 is one of the surviving traditional night trains, as far as Salzburg with Croatian stock for Zagreb and Austrian stock for Venice. From Salzburg to Linz it has the Czech Zurich-Prague car, but all the rest is Hungarian.
