First post on here modelling related - picked up this beauty last week
6. whole model closeup.jpg
And 3D printed this a few days later

After over 23 years of PC based simulation, I've finally moved back into the real, well 1/87 scale, world!

Wow, where di you get the tram from?
Bizarrely from the same city as the original 1:1 scale version!

They first launched this model back in 2009 and then they reissued it again at start of the year, I ummed and ahhed about it before ordering it in June. But I believe you'll have to be quick - they're threatening to close operations...

Rails of Sheffield have announced a exclusive with Sonic Models - a series of OO models of the LBSCR K Class locos - very much a missing class in OO models. I may well have placed a pre order for the BR late crest version... :D

(If someone would like to produce a C2X in OO as well, then that would be much appreciated....)

I think I've been bitten by the continental bug. Won a rake of DB carriages in an eBay auction, which will fit in perfectly with my planned 1990s Dutch layout, working international trains.

Finally found a hornby Avanti liveried class 390, in a model shop, finding one on eBay is quite rare now so to see one in a model shop I had to buy it :D

I remember seeing a rake set of the normal livery at the Great Electric Train Show last year going for something silly like £1,200. Pride 390s seem to be a bit cheaper, mind.

This Bachmann OBA is my latest addition, which completes a BR Railfreight rake for me. I'm very happey with it, it has a nice weight for an open wagon and runs very freely too.

Very nice. Planning on weathering it or keeping it pristine?
I think I’ll leave that one pristine, it’s in a mixed rake of stock in terms of weathering, so they all look different which is fairly accurate, and with that being one of the ‘newer’ livery vehicles in the rake it doesn’t look out of place.

With the arrival of the Odakyu 10000 HiSE, I now have all the Romance Car trains I wanted.

The second one from the right, the Odakyu 7000 LSE, was indeed featured as a driveable train on Microsoft Train Simulator.
The model I have has the revival factory livery, while MSTS featured the modern 10.000 HiSE livery.

Woah that’s crazy! I got the train pack for £260, and the 5 additional coaches at about £250 in total, so at £510 for the whole 9 car set I think I got it at a rather good price! :D

I like that, it adds a nice bit of variety to the consist. It is such a nice livery that it would be a shame to cover them all up with grime.
Ah, a fellow Romancecar aficionado - my username on RMWeb is even 'Romancecar'! I must have four different 7000 LSEs at this point. I'm jealous of your collection though! :D

That's actually a pretty gosh-darned good deal! If it's anything like the old Hornby Virgin Pendolino, it must run like an absolute dream.

Been hunting on eBay - yet more kits for the pile when I get around to them... (I still have 2 coaches and 4 vans in progress at the minute waiting for the summer to start winding down.... That makes 14 kits unstarted too.... )

I was very tempted with one of those. My friend got the sound fitted RES one. I’ve not heard it in the flesh but it sounds good in the clips he’s sent me.

Blimey o'Reilly, that's going to keep you occupied for every rainy day over the next few years!

Gosh, is there a single livery the 47 cannot look good in? Very impressed with the lining application.

Yesterday my Accurascale class 37 arrived and very nice it is too. The about info looks a bit like a 37 operators manual with a printed on rusty staple and the back has coffee mug rings where a driver has supposedly used it as a placemat. Inside its packed with info and pictures in full colour, there's a sheet of headcodes. At least one accessories pack (I only looked very briefly)

Some very nice signals there @30907 Guess they're Dapol ones?
Yes, very nice. I've got a couple of the taller lattice post ones too.
There should really be a bracket Up Home (main/bay) but for now I have relocated it beyond the overbridge scenic break as Dapol don't do a SR version :(
And sundry ground discs, but I don't think I will bother to motorise them.
