After over 23 years of PC based simulation, I've finally moved back into the real, well 1/87 scale, world!
Bizarrely from the same city as the original 1:1 scale version!Wow, where di you get the tram from?
Nice! What will you run them with?got these from the Chatham model show over the weekend

I remember seeing a rake set of the normal livery at the Great Electric Train Show last year going for something silly like £1,200. Pride 390s seem to be a bit cheaper, mind. Finally found a hornby Avanti liveried class 390, in a model shop, finding one on eBay is quite rare now so to see one in a model shop I had to buy it
Very nice. Planning on weathering it or keeping it pristine? This Bachmann OBA is my latest addition, which completes a BR Railfreight rake for me. I'm very happey with it, it has a nice weight for an open wagon and runs very freely too.

I think I’ll leave that one pristine, it’s in a mixed rake of stock in terms of weathering, so they all look different which is fairly accurate, and with that being one of the ‘newer’ livery vehicles in the rake it doesn’t look out of place.Very nice. Nice I think I remember playing those in MSTS back in the day! With the arrival of the Odakyu 10000 HiSE, I now have all the Romance Car trains I wanted.
Woah that’s crazy! I got the train pack for £260, and the 5 additional coaches at about £250 in total, so at £510 for the whole 9 car set I think I got it at a rather good price!I remember seeing a rake set of the normal livery at the Great Electric Train Show last year going for something silly like £1,200. I like that, it adds a nice bit of variety to the consist. It is such a nice livery that it would be a shame to cover them all up with grime.I think I’ll leave that one pristine, it’s in a mixed rake of stock in terms of weathering, so they all look different which is fairly accurate, and with that being one of the ‘newer’ livery vehicles in the rake it doesn’t look out of place.
That's actually a pretty gosh-darned good deal! If it's anything like the old Hornby Virgin Pendolino, it must run like an absolute dream.Woah that’s crazy! Blimey o'Reilly, that's going to keep you occupied for every rainy day over the next few years!Been hunting on eBay - yet more kits for the pile when I get around to them... (I still have 2 coaches and 4 vans in progress at the minute waiting for the summer to start winding down.... That makes 14 kits unstarted too.... )

Gosh, is there a single livery the 47 cannot look good in? Very impressed with the lining application.47628 in GW150 livery arrived today. Sound fitted too.
