Ours is putting sermons, prayers online. My girlfriend and I have been visiting various ones the last three weeks. Maybe we could start a separate thread for online services if there's much interest?

Am I allowed to take my own thread off topic? <D
Absolutely not. Put yourself on moderation. ;)

I’m looking forward to that as well. I’ve been trying a variety of different online services the last few weeks, but it’s not the same as being in the church itself.
I'm looking forward to getting back to church as well. My church is between 2 and 3 minutes' walking time from my house, which is great. What's not so great is I have to drive past it every time I go to & from work, which is rather frustrating at the moment! There's plenty of material being put online by the Methodist Church, and the circuit (local grouping of churches) I'm in is recording some service-type things to go out each weekend on YouTube. I've managed to film myself and my mum recording a couple of songs for this week's services, and before you ask, we've had permission from the relevant people to use them. One used to attend the church I attend, and the other is a good friend of ours from when we were living in Cornwall. It's proving to be quite a challenge at the moment. Church was one of my main sources of socialising, and I can't do that at the moment. My Bible study group on a Tuesday night is now doing stuff online, which is helping somewhat. It's also good to keep in touch with everyone, and I've missed talking to anyone who isn't either someone I live with (my parents) or my colleagues.

At the moment, we are holding our services and bible study via videoconferencing software, but it’s quite impractical and very laggy. But I do enjoy the social aspect, and being together, and am very much looking forward to the day when we can get together again. :D

"Can everyone see my screen?!" :)

Straight back to the gym. I know it'll be hellishly overcrowded for the first month or so but looking forward to it all the same. I'm keeping to my usual running schedule but my strength and yoga sessions are suffering and I'd really love a swim.

I doubt it somehow. I'd imagine any initial reopening of places such as gyms will be a gradual reintroduction with strict controls over how many are allowed at one time.

That would be sensible although I have visions of a repeat of the January/New Year's resolutions effect.

I'm most looking forward to playing rugby again and having plenty of beers in the clubhouse afterwards.

I reckon half a day shopping, a long weekend at the coast, then abandon the wife and go bury myself at the railway for a week while realising we'd had weeks of sunny weather and not got round to washing any of my PPE!

Being totally honest here, when the worst of this is over, I shall hopefully be resuming my quest to find a boyfriend in earnest. Been single for long enough and would have liked to have found a BF before all this really kicked off. Story of my life that I didn't. :/

Similarly to you I was closing in on a few women that were keen but then the COVID-19 crisis broke! Cue lockdown living on my own :D

One of the first things I'm going to do is go and visit all parts of my family who live in the South of England. Despite living only 10 miles or so from them I can't see them.

Assuming we're out of the worst of this by late summer, it would be good if they made the August bank holiday into a long weekend, to make up for most people not really having an Easter this year.

Edited to say it has been pointed out to me that this is not a very sensible suggestion, so please disregard it.

So weeks on end sitting around isn’t enough, whilst meanwhile the key workers will of course be at work as generally they don’t get bank holidays off. Really bad idea IMO.

I was meaning so those who can't get away to visit family etc. would have another opportunity to do so. Also presumably key workers have days in lieu built into their work contracts.

I think there ought to be a National Street Party Bank Holiday.

On a Friday.

With free beer.

An' little sausages on sticks 'n' everything.

Yes of course they do, what sort of message do you think it sends out having an extended holiday latched onto what is being treated by many as an extended holiday?

So people have missed out on an Easter break? What a crying shame.

How about an extended break for those people who have been keeping things ticking over these last few weeks as a gesture of thanks, as opposed to the facile clapping?

Or perhaps it would be better to cancel as many holidays as possible in order to maximise economic activity?

Seriously, if a missed Easter is the main thing on anyone’s mind at this moment then their priorities are very *seriously* adrift.

I think an extended holiday is a great idea. Lift people's spirits and give a chance to catch up. Seems a bit joyless after lockdown to cancel everybody's holidays.

It depends on the sector. A lot of the service and retail sector which has been hardest hit by this crisis will probably benefit from an extended holiday.

Particularly since a lot of office and manufacturing work which usually sees a drop in output during holidays, is actually carrying on.

Isn't that what people's annual leave allowance is for?

To an extent, although bank holidays are not generally included in your leave entitlement. Also businesses wouldn't be able to let everyone take the Friday off at once. It was just a random thought, I will retract it as it's clearly unworkable.

Sounds about right lol, don't think we can successfully leave lockdown until we get a vaccine (in 12-18 months...)

July we will leave lockdown. Michael Stipe hinted as much and I believe pop stars' sagaciousness.:D

I think that I'm going to take a number of train trips around the Glasgow area just to get out of my town (Coatbridge) and see some different scenery, hopefully will try to get on as much rolling stock as possible. 3 weeks since I've left this town and I'm going stir crazy. Probably some of the suburban Glasgow services and also at least one out to Ayrshire/Inverclyde. Never been further west than Dalmuir so might check out the Helensburgh/Balloch/Dumbarton stretch of my own line.

Also hoping to get a Starbucks and some fast food. Something tells me that the cinema won't be open for a while though. :(

I think that we'll need to maintain social distancing for a while and perhaps the reduced timetable should stay in effect for the foreseeable future as well (less services = more available carriages = safer). Can't do hardcore lockdowns for much longer than a couple of months realistically. I think that we have another 2 months and should have some restrictions lifted around late May or sometime in June.

People who are at enhanced risk are on 12 weeks' lock-down. I think that is an indicator as to how long the general lock-down could well last (mid to end of June). Look also at how long the lock-down lasted in Wuhan. And look also at when Italy starts to lift its lock-down - we are on much the same curve as Italy, but a couple of weeks' behind. I think our government will also be looking very closely indeed at what happens to the numbers in Wuhan, Italy, etc. after their lock-downs are lifted, before making any decisions about lifting our lock-down.
