where to buy Boundary Zone tickets

I've noticed on Avantix that Reading to Boundary Zone 6 (route Slough) plus a Zone 1-6 travelcard costs less than a Reading to London with travelcard ticket.

Can you buy these online anywhere, or at the machines in the station?

I assume that you can buy them in person, but I know that can take a while at Reading.

I can't help i'm afraid but its worth noting:

Boundary Zone 6 - Reading Stations (route Slough) is £9.20
Boundary Zone 6 - Reading Stations (route Ascot) is £10.60

Boundary Zone 6 - Theale offers only 'Any Permitted' at £9.90, so you're not restricted by route!

That's correct - Boundary Zone x can only be used as an origin, not as a destination.
