Which bus would you most like to see fleets of replica builds go into service?

Also in later years i remember fondly what seemed to me to be the massive fleet of MK1 & MK2 Leyland Nationals opperated by Provincial Buses.

Having 2 brothers in the Royal Navy we used to visit the Portsmouth and Gosport areas regularly and I used to love the old Bristol REs on the Gosport - Rowner/Bridgemary/Fareham services, not to mention the mk1 Nationals. Gosport Bus Station was a favourite spotting location, not that I used to take numbers or anything just used to like looking at them...

Also we used to head out on the Portsmouth City Transport bus (was it still the Corporation?) to Leigh Park (21 ??). I seem to recall there was a sensor at the exit door step that you had to stand on to open the door. Or was that a wind up for a young lad like me??:D

Any of these I'd love to see again, brings back so many memories. View attachment 11866

Over there
For me it'd have to be a replica Alx400 body perhaps on a ADL chassis that would also allow a Hybrid version. I just think the Alx400 is one of them timeless classic's, I often see them alongside newer Enviro 400s and they still don't look old. With a decent repaint and refurbishment they fool some of the public into thinking they're brand new!

Of course, You'll all think I'm weird :p
