If you could live and commute to anywhere, where in the UK would be your favourite train journey to take everyday?

Probably Garsdale-Skipton

At one point Garsdale was my nearest station and I travelled to Leeds frequently. Stunning scenery. Not fun in winter though!

Rhymney to Cardiff would be a good commute for the next few months.

Keeping an eye on this one myself. 37421 is still required... :)

Now there are non-stop services, Todmorden to Rochdale would be reasonable.

I scratched 421 on a Freedom of Scotland in 1988 - and I've never had it since.

Back on topic: A good commute is one that goes against the flow, so living in the city and working in a small town.

I read the thread title, and thought instantly back to all the amazing trips I've made such as the Deerstalker, Fort William to Mallaig, GWR Pullman etc.

Then I saw it said,
If you could live and commute to anywhere

and instantly decided whatever journey gets me home from work the quickest with the least hassle!
