Why are Driver diagrams aka SHIELA's?

This may seem like a stupid question, but where I work no one seems to know the answer.

Why are driver diagrams called Sheila's?

I'm sure it's an acronym, although I don't know what it stands for. The name relates to the software package that generates the print-outs.

But it's not the diagrams themselves that are called Sheilas, it's the schedule cards with the timings and stopping patterns on them.

Sheila is the software which produces the schedule cards. Driver and conductor diagrams are uploaded to it electronically and Sheila converts them into full schedule cards.

Reading the last paragraph, Sheila might not even be an acronym.
