Right I have taken an axe to the thread and if there is anything I missed, please feel free to report.
Unfortunately I have had to delete some of the light-hearted humour as there was too much irrelevant stuff in the thread.
Thanks for all who held their nerve. I know it can be frustrating when people ask questions with seemingly obvious answers, and refuse to listen/dismiss it when given the answer, but equally please do bear in mind this is a place for discussion so everyone is entitled to his opinion.
