Why did 9R53 skip Farringdon at 2009 yesterday?

It was only running a couple of minutes late and there was a gap behind it so nothing else would have been delayed. Also ran non stop through Norwood Junction and South Croydon according to RTT.
The reason given was a fault on the train but I can't think of anything which would have prevented a call at Farringdon but not other stations.

Called at staffed (dispatch staff) stations only due to issues with on-train DOO monitors

Ahh thanks for that. Me & the missus were hoping to catch said train from Farringdon but oddly wasn't stopping. We jumped on the Rainham train and caught it from Blackfriars instead!

Out of curiosity, do we know whether this was a technical issue or an environmental one?

That's what confused me - that would be a technical issue, if they're obscured by something such as being misted up?

I took technical to mean an ‘inside’ fault like wiring or the cab screents having a fault, and environmental to mean an issue with the cameras such as being misted or being caught in a graffiti attack (for example)

OK thanks that makes sense.

I could have done the same but unfortunately decided to gamble on the information screen being wrong.

Sorry; to clarify yes by environmental I was referring to things like fog, direct or low sunlight and so on, which can on occasions cause a very poor quality of image on DOO in-cab monitors.
