172/0s, 230s, 350/4s and new design stock are set to join the fleet as the franchise progresses. As these trains are introduced the 150s will be withdrawn.

This is your WM Livery update.

There will probably be a unit in each of the London Northwestern and West Midlands Railway livery on the 10th of December for the launch, done using a vinyl wrap. Obviously nothing before then.

Does anyone know when trains currently operated by London Midland will begin to be repainted into the new operator’s livery?

Like with GWR, LM have a large fleet and it is likely to take a long time to rebrand the fleet!

One 172 and one 350 will be re branded for the 10th December

I'm led to believe that these are the liveries that will be used, first one WMR, second one LNWR

The only thing I don't like about them is the only yellow being on the gangway connections. I personally think they'd look better either with full width yellow fronts, or without any yellow at all.

Full yellow would look better I think.

Shame there’s no applause emoji on here or I’d be using it!

That makes all the difference!!

I'm not normally one to criticise liveries, but they both look sh**e. No other way of describing them.

Yeah well, I like a bit of change on the railways every now and then. The London Midland livery is pleasant but we’ve had it a while now!

I wonder whether the stock that's leaving the franchise will be reliveried? I suppose the likes of the 323s and 170s are going to be around for a good while yet so probably will, less likely for the 150s and 153s.

They look absolutely horrific. Certainly both are much, much worse than the current LM scheme.

It's down to personal preference, of course, but I think the green one looks OK (though the quantity/shape of yellow will take some getting used to). I just think it doesn't 'match' the London Northwestern Railway name.

The purple one, I agree with you (though it's leagues better than an early impression the West Midlands council people put out).

I was thinking the same thing.
I'd have thought the 323's and such will be last on the list to do.

Green livery looks a little like Southern Railway - whether that's a good or bad thing I can't say.
Purple and Orange sort of screams budget to me :/

The LNW one is OK - but not convinced by the green front - more yellow would look better IMO.

The WMR one looks too much like London Overground's - not sure if that was the idea?

Neither are particularly strong though - LM's has grown on me, didn't like Silverlink's.
