Just a gentle reminder this thread is about West Midlands Trains livery and station branding

Please create a new thread (if there isn't one already) to discuss anything else, such as refurbishments.

The forum has plenty of spare capacity for new threads; no need to cram lots of different topics into this thread ;)

Thanks :)

Corrosion work has restarted today with the arrival of 350103 at Long Marston. Towed there by 37800 earlier today

Mark
Surprising considering the current circumstances. Does this mean that the mark 1s will start getting the new livery soon as well then?

I'm of two minds about this. On the one hand, it's a fantastic message, but on the other, it's still technically vandalism and should be removed from the train. Besides, there's a certain irony into the 'artist'(s) who created this not staying home...

And causing key workers who are running the railway to waste their time having to clean off that unit.

As an NHS Key Worker- I've got to say thanks but no thanks.

Does anyone know the current state of play with the plug, PIS & info screen fitment for the 172/0s?
I have seen a youtube video by Scott Joseph Whiley which showed the first modified unit 2 months ago.

Dosent mention which specific unit it was though.

The work has already started at least which is a good thing.

Do you know where the 172/0s are having the work done?

I know that 172002 has had it, and I think another one has too. I believe they're being done at Ilford.

Any updates in regards to refurbishment or corrosion repairs?

Heard that 350/3 are now being internally refurbished!

I believe that 350368 is already refurbished and that 350370 is currently being done

Does anyone know how many Class 323s are left to be refurbished now?
I can’t imagine that many - although I have seen a number of non-PRM’d units both in service and at Soho. The Northern 323 refurbishment must be clashing with the WMR progress

323221 went back for rectification work after serious faults found in the DDA Toilet. Assume these have been fixed.

Having travelled on 323221 today. The DDA Toilet issues have not been fixed. Still has cracked panels in there.
