Has anyone ever done any of this? I'm fancying a go at making my own treadle powered lathe and was wondering if anyone had done similar. Advice/thoughts?

A friend of mine turns a lot. Just watching him using a powered machine I would have thought a treadle lathe would be damned heavy work for anything but the lightest cuts.

Good luck with your project though!
