Wrexham and Shropshire Railways, Railway Charity 2011 Calendar. Start submiting your images NOW
Hi All. Thought Id let you know about Wrexham and Shropshire Railways New 2011 Charity Calendar. Many of you may have only read about or seen pictures of the Wrexham and Shropshire Railway in Magazines or online, and so for those of you who dont no who wrexham and shropshire are, they are an open access rail operator who strive to deliver a seat to seat value for money rail service to the travelling public. In there 2nd Year of Operations they have decided to run a Charity Calendar for the First Time.
If successful it is likeley it will be run again next year.
All of the information can be found by clicking on the link below. You can only submit 1 image and this must be uploaded on their site. The overal winner, most outstanding image will feature on the front cover of the magazine and will also win 2 first class rail tickets. Other contributors will also be rewarded with a WSMR mug.

Want to feature in Wrexham & Shropshires first ever charity calendar for 2011 and win a pair of first class train tickets to London?
Wrexham & Shropshire is calling on budding photographers of all ages to put their talents to the test and win the chance to contribute photos to the companys first ever charity calendar for 2011.
The lucky overall winner will not only have their photo featuredin the charity calendar, but also on the prized front cover. They will also win a pair of first class tickets for a trip to London. The remaining 11 winners whose photos are selected for the calendar will also receive a classic Wrexham & Shropshire mug.
Wrexham & Shropshire is keen to see creative shots of its trains from anywhere along the route on stations, or perhaps on-board or including staff and preferably showing off the companys distinctive branding. All photos must be uploaded onto the Wrexham & Shropshire website via the competition page.
The company has supported the Railway Children charity, which supports 12 million street children living in poor conditions in India, since it launched a direct service to London Marylebone back in 2008. The calendar will be available to purchase on trains from late autumn for just £10 (or by mail order for £12). For each calendar sold, 50p will go directly to the charity to support life-changing projects around the world.
