Sounds like a normal shift on the North Wales coast.

Essential guards kit on that line should be Avantix ticket machine, fare manual, lamp, chair leg.

This offence needs a sentence to be passed to serve as a warning to others that violence to train staff and to the general public whilst travelling by train will not be tolerated. The offender was an 18 year old male who will be tried as an adult.

The "before 0900" bit in the OP gets me. It seems incredibly condescending - as though teenagers are not worthy of travel before 9am.

Should he be found guilty the suitable punishment should be given. We can't go round inflicting harsh sentences on someone because of their age (make no mistake, this is about his age. Why else would the first word be "Teen"?)

Well, no, usually most incidents of this sort happen towards the end of the day, when people are most tired/stressed/drunk etc.

What on earth possesses someone to 'kick off' at 7 in the morning??

I agree with Alter Ego, you might expect to see an incident of this sort at 11pm, but not before 9am.

As for reporting he is a teenager - what's wrong with that? Almost every newspaper puts an age in brackets after a person's name. Its no different to somebody who has done something stupid in a car being referred to as a Grandparent or pensioner as if they've done it because they are old. (And sometimes when I read on, they are even younger than me!!)

Off-topic, but when I'm out and about, I find that I see more trouble early in the mornings (6am to 9am) than I ever do at night. Something to do with the idiots drinking all night and leaving their house early to get home, I think.

Now you're just being silly, how you going to fit a challenger 2 on a passenger train? And a Javelin, how'd you swing that round?

Oh and PS: When I was a teenager and I think I'm still young enough to be classed as young, I had either only just finished work or been at work for a good 3 hours by 7am...

Probably the fact that they are up at 7am.

(I'm only joking, I am generally up before 7 myself!)

He'll be just as bad in a car. And a lot more dangerous.

    So you make two comments.

It is unusual in North Wales for yobbish behaviour to occur on a train before 0900. as the sun was not up,it is unusual for this type of yob to crawl from under his stone so early.
I would have put up this thread, no matter what the age the yob,

It is unfortunate areas of Rhyl & Colwyn Bay have two of the most deprived wards in Wales due to drugs. This awful behaviour I am sorry to say reflects this.
I lived in Wellington Rd Rhyl for 25 years, have friends in Rhyl & travel to the town often.

MP5k on the right side on a slack single point hansyl on one side and a Glock 17 on the other with a Makarov on the ankle is easyer to conseal, can usually fit about 150rds around your person aswell.

Although nowadays the MP7 offers much better penetration for CQB stuff.
