Have done a quick search but can't see a thread. Ken Livingstone says that he will re-introduce the Z2-6 travelcard if he wins next years London Mayor election. In reply Boris argues that passengers would find it cheaper to use Oyster. Question is,if Ken wins would he also re-instate the cheaper caps for Oyster PAYG users who don't go into zone 1?

It's impossible to tell really, he might or he might not. Politicians promise alot, but deliver.........(I'll let you fill in the blank!) <(

Is that just the Travelcard or the Oyster cap too?
That doesn't make sense, as Oyster is a medium, not a product.
Ah, you're asking the same question as me then! If the cap is included, then Boris' reply is nonsense. If the cap is not included, then it is just plain daft to encourage people to use paper tickets. So, either way, someone is going to look silly, if these statements are indeed correct.

Thanks for that. I've responded to the claims from the Mayor's office on my site. Talk about flexing the figures to justify (or try to) a point.
