there isnt really anything in SCNW that could swap with 25225. preston has some ADL darts, but 25225 would end up running as an "oddball" vehicle on Preston Citi.
it would be better moving 25225 to Morecambe, but they have nothing that could be sent to Lillyhall replacing it.

sliding off topic, but Lillyhall needs to get some features onto their destination displays lol, especially the LEDs!
at Carlisle, their darts on side displays have the number stationary on the left, and they have the destination on scroll, and i think it works really well! at Lillyhall, it is, for example, "3 Mirehouse" all centred, which then changes to "3 Circular" all centred. when the buses at Carlisle aren't in service, the side display has "000" stationary on the left, then "Sorry Not In Service" on scoll, which looks pretty smart!
another thing, which i think i mentioned a while ago, is scrolling on front display! have the destination stationary along with route number, but have "calling points" on a scroll. i originally thought head office said it wasnt allowed anymore as i havnt seen Carlisle's do that for a while, but T609JBA has it! and its only newly programmed!

i have no idea what is going on with minibuses today lol.
this morning, 40001 was on Moorclose 51, 47616 came into bus station a few minutes after 40001 left, with "Sorry Not In Service" on display. 33167 was on Moorclose 50.
i went into Whitehaven in my double free this morning (0931 bus to whitehaven, 1011 bus back to sixth form) and seen 47617 on Mirehouse 3 and 33168 on Mirehouse 4 (engine compartment was open!!!)
back in Workington (1540 ish), i seen 33168 on Moorclose 51, 40394 on Moorclose 50, then 33167 was on Moorclose 50 going into bus station same time as 33168 on 51!
40028 and 40033 have both been running around on harrington / seaton, and like you said, i havnt seen anything of 47023 and 47024!!!
20768 was on 600
20765 on 47 morning service.
14258 on school work.
25225 and 35249 on 31's.
i was on 22611 going back to sixth form, and boy is it rattly!!! pretty loud too! sounds really bad for a bus thats been in service around 10 months!!!

forgot to say, K768 DAO, if you want a laugh, bus 22599 at 0940ish, CCTV back row, my mate hit her head on the ceiling haha. i was laughing for ages when we got off hahahaha

Give me a Volvo anyday!

you can't beat those b10m's!!! they just keep going haha, and i would say they still have a good bit of life left in them! its a shame i wasnt on one today lol, they're a lot quieter than 22611!

Incidentally, do you think some B10ms, particularly the R regs, will soldier on until 2017 when they will have to leave service?

i personally don't think they will. Stagecoach seem to be well ahead of the 2017 target, so i'd expect all the B10m's to slowly disappear before the deadline lol.

its a shame stagecoach don't get Volvo buses anymore! there are low floor Volvo's out there, but Stagecoach don't seem to have many of them! they usually come with Wrightbus bodies these days. Stagecoach seem to like Alexander Dennis, and Optare.

yeah, they're strong buses, but a lot of places now are wanting them replaced with low floors. personally, if anything, i think that the B10m's that will remain in service up to 2017 will be school riders.

I think the reason that Stagecoach moved away from Volvo products was the introduction of the ADL Trident. It's an integrated bus, so the whole thing, chassis and body is built at the one factory in Falkirk. Obviously that is cheaper than transporting a chassis across Scotland for bodying.
For Wrightbus, it's even worse. The chassis has to be shipped out to Ireland, and you can often see several lined up at Heysham waiting for the ferry.

Dallamlad, those Tridents were the ones I said I though Manchester would be keen to get rid of, obviously I think these should go to Barrow rather than lancaster but meh.

Versa wise, I'd send it to Morecambe so the 6A can go entirely Versa. Then send a B6 to Preston for use as a CPC trainer vehicle, or keep it at Morecambe for the same purpose.

Yes, you're right. Personally, the only reason I can see for using Scania chassis is the powerplants!

Forgot to mention earlier, saw 16657 on 2A today, it should be a low-floor route. Also 20540 had a defective headlight working the 1615 Warton 55 service.

There is a fair point to what you say, but you also need to bear in mind standardisation. It's not good to have too many different types of bus, but I think SC have the balance right.

It would seem that fares in Preston have been brought into line with the former PrestonBus scale.

Not sure about the former PB fleet giving change yet, the vaults are still in place and unbagged on the buses Ive seen, but Ive not been in Preston much this week.

I can't see that happening for quite a while really, most B10Ms seem to end up with MagicBus eventually, there's no need to replace K regs if they are mechanically sound!

On the subject of B10Ms, K702 DAO and K 699 ERM, formerly 20702 and 20699, are now repainted and in service with their new owner, Whippet.

Surely it would make good sense to replace 32917 with one of the Darts SLFs, as it's a direct swap, although at the expense of keeping one of the 709Ds.

It's probably also worth noting that all the Darts at Kendal, and those arriving at Lillyhall came from Merseyside, mainly through the aquisition of Glenvale.

Yes, I was just pointing out that those still at Kendal and the W regs which are also at Kendal are ex-GTL.

As I see it, there's no point in cascading vehicles like B10Ms if the existing ones are quite clearly going to make the 2017 DDA deadline.

I believe it did indeed to go to Merseyside, pic here
However I believe it then came back to Lillyhall for a while for storage before ending up at Morecambe before finally being collected.
