How many people on here are still waiting for their final DMI, MMI or assessments? I remember them saying in my DMI they were going until December, however they use the Crewe training room and some of the guys start at the end of Nov there.

I'm still waiting , had my stage 1 on the 24th August . Stage 2 4th of December.

I have my assements/interview at Crewe. Applied for Peterborough

Was it specifically a shunter role you applied for matey?

yes just shunter driving, was told after 18 months its possible to go over to mainline.

Thanks mate , yeah all happening in Crewe. It's been a long wait between stage 1 and stage 2 , can't wait to get it over with now

I don't think we will be using the training room much for the first few weeks, PTS, possible can rides etc will take up some time I think.

Sat stage 2 on 18th Oct, got the Vienna results on the day and MMI on Tuesday.

I stayed at the premier Inn for £24. It was clean, warm and just round the corner

£24?!? Must have got a deal there somewhere, I paid £68 including breakfast. To me fair it was still a trek (@Pete C was my saviour as he drove us from the hotel). The Holiday Inn was probably just as close in the grand scheme.

That was probably it, mine was mid-week so I guess busy with business types and certainly nobody out ‘on it’ in the town centre? (Is there much of a town centre in Crewe?)

I think things are happening faster for those going to Crewe and Birmingham. I'm wanting reading and have been in the candidate pool for a month now. There was another on my stage 2 wanting reading too.

I guess the rush for Crewe could be for HH due to HS2 works. I can’t wait to hear and then get started now lol

I’ve been in the pool for Peterborough over a month too now. Probably not long in the railway world but feels like ages!!
