Services between UWE and Parkway are becoming very poor. Only the 19/19A, 77 and 625.
Agreed.

Also, links from Parkway to Filton (not Filton Ave but the main and historic bit of Filton around Gloucester Rd/Southmead Rd) have become terrible. At one time there was the hourly 501 77 625 555 (& 82 via Cribbs)and twice-hourly 502 & 18. Now there is just the hourly Y6 via Cribbs.

The problem is, out of that list, only the 18/82 were commercial so the demand is limited. It could be said that the lack of a direct Southmead Hospital-Parkway llink is more of an issue given the amount of time it can take to get through Cribbs.

Of course, the 77 is a Southmead Hospital-Parkway route too, it just goes via Lockleaze now!

I’ve just caught it! It’s tracking as 66881 for some reason. Not only, but is this now based at Bath? Seen an E400 in mendip livery several times at the bus station but never on other routes

Additional observation.
33644 has a V after its fleet code on the front and rear. It also says it’s based at Wells, above the front left wheel.

Couple of changes from the hired in vehicles on Bath U1/3. Faresaver using BJ11EBM for the 1st time (the only one of their B9s that hasn't appeared before), really struggled up Bathwick Hill unfortunately!! Bath Bus Company are also using A503 instead of previously regular A504.

No Mendip livery vehicles are to be based at Bath. I suspect it has been briefly diverted to cover a shortfall, before heading to Wells, where the remaining streetdecks (3?) can cover until they are ready to move.

It'll be 33664 and the V signifies it has been upgraded to meet the Bath emissions requirements. Pte Baxter is right that it will be because of the ongoing shortage of vehicles, it being a case of "needs must" with the ticket machine from 66881 scavenged to allow it to go into service.

I guess the discover changes have left the 3 Westbury vehicles spare, but why they aren't using B7s & B9s is very bizarre!! They are only 3 artics down I believe (10037, 10174 & 10179), although 33946 is also VOR. I don't think it helps that Tappins/Camberwick aren't covering anymore, so First need 3 more vehicles (33945 was on one of the ex-Camberwick duties this morning, on a U3 peak). Another returnee today is 32284, which had roof damage?? 65725 is on a U3 board which goes on to the evening/night U1- whether it will stay on there for the duration remains to be seen..
10179 back out today. This morning 44522 on 172 44525 on D2 and 53856 running around with 'Badgerline' displayed on its destination!

Corrected! DN33644 is of course shunting around London still, having caught many times before.... I guess meaning Euro V, then?

Does anyone know the position with 33072/74/90? According to the tracker they were last used in September but not since. Did they ever enter service or are they still 'in preparation?'

If they're the ex Norwich ones they appear on the 76 fairly regularly. Most of the recent arrivals (the ex Glasgow ones for example) either don't show or have only shown a few times on the tracker.

Definitely saw one (33090?) out on the 76 about a week and a half ago, entering Haymarket from the Bearpit. Think I also saw one of those on the 24 about a month ago but I fail to remember which one.

They're ex Essex from Hadleigh - possibly released by the arrival of 36216-20 that were used in Bristol this time last year!

69448 is even further from home this morning, exploring the Mendips on the 0900 376 from Bristol!

Steve reported FWE was due to also get 33047/77/188 from Essex but presumably delayed or cancelled because of the Wright affair?

When those Tridents and the ex Scottish B7TLs 326xx and 3718x batches entered service they were on bus times.org. But for some unknown reason they have not been showing since 23rd September. They are all still here, the last to enter service in Bristol was 32625 a week ago.
There are 4 I have still not ridden on, and so its been back to the old method of camping out at Broad Quay viewing all the 24, 75 and 76s.

That very much IS home territory for 69448
;)
It operated the 09:05 and 11:35 departures from Bristol with a Marlborough Street driver, but only as far as Wells. It’s now back off to Somerset operating the 16:50 177 to Midsomer Norton.

This in turn caused Weston Urban liveried E400 33569 to operate the 11:05 349 from Bristol to Keynsham.

69438 was on the running board which comes in on the 177 from Midsomer Norton in the morning, then does the 11:05 and 12:35 349 from Bristol to Keynsham then the 16:50 177 back to Midsomer Norton. Between arriving from Midsomer Norton and going back apart from the 2 trips to Keynsham it sits on the back wall and acts as a spare bus.

Both 66885 and 66938 on U1 evening shifts, and still haven't been subbed! Both on the schedules for a shift till 3/4am it seems. Although always potential for a midnight sub.... Glad to have caught 66885 during the evening peak, absolute beast.

I am visiting Bristol in a week or two and was wondering how many of the Q buster ex Nottingham buses are used on an average day? What routes are they used on and are they appearing on bus times?

Thanks in advance.

According to bus times, they both did survive their full shifts, strange as Monday is normally one of the busier nights for Bath uni!! I reckon that 33947 was meant to swap over with one of the two singles, as it had been parked in the bus station after its last U1 trip at 21:00, but it ended up on the 21:30 39 to Bristol instead!!

36080 worked the 08:23 Broadmead to Frenchay yesterday, but showed on the tracker as 37338.
I've seen one on the 44 and one on the 70, but generally the ones I've seen have been hanging around Penn St/Bond St/Rupert St NIS. Most I've seen in one day is 4. Perhaps I've just been unlucky not to have got one on a route.

There are usually one or two parked on the stop (no longer in use) outside Dorothy Perkins by the entrance to Cabot Circus. These are then brought into service if needed. The only time I've seen one on service was on a 1 on a Saturday. Cribbs Causeway might be a possibility especially as the traffic builds up towards Christmas however I'm guessing at that.

There looks to be one of the new gas buses parked in the Scania yard in Avonmouth. It’s painted in green & grey m3 livery. Even though you can only see it from the back and the off side, it seems to be one of these as it has the windows going up the stairs.

Yes, I too saw it on the back wall patiently awaiting its 177 turn. Meanwhile 69447 was out on 376. Good to see those two side by side. (Well, almost!) I should point out that singles have been quite common on the 376 the last week or so.... maybe another streetdeck has left. Not complaining of course, they are fabulous buses, and I'm pleased they look to be staying, at least for the immediate future.
On the subject of B7RLEs, I had 69505 on the 19 from Cribbs to UWE last night. First time i have been on one since its conversion from Airport bus. I love what they've done with them, and think i might need a trip out on the 265 at some point in the near future.
