Someone else suggested:
- SJT
- Manager interview via Skype or similar
- Psychometrics
Thanks for this 4-SUB...
Is there a standard checklist of what they consist of or do WMR use their own? New to it all, the ones I've recently become familiar with are:
Group Bourdon (dots)
High/low tones
And ex. SjT
I'm trying to research as much as I can but feel I'm looking down the wrong avenues
Fantastic 4-SUBThe testing in respect of psychometrics is relatively standard, from memory.
I seem to recall previously dots, a white screen with a grey dot, some other related bits. It was mostly concentration and accuracy.
Check your emails guys, I’ve just had a no.
Same, not had any email from them yet. Probably will be sent out to everyone over the next few days, at a guess. Better luck next time to the guys who were unsuccessful, and good luck to those still waiting to hear back!No email yet
Same, apparently there were over 4000 applications, but I suppose it depends how many applications got to the next stage. Tbh from what I've heard, if you've been successful, you might not hear back for a while. So fingers crossed.Wondering how many people took the SJT
I heard back about 30mins ago! Unsuccessful I’m pretty sure I answered all the questions correctly, I have a cousin who is already a driver and he sat with me (not helping just to oversee it!) and was also 100% I had nailed it! But guess they must be looking for something else?♂️Same, apparently there were over 4000 applications, but I suppose it depends how many applications got to the next stage. Ahh bad luck. Yeah that does sound strange. Maybe just because of the amount of applications they had they are just having an aggressive filtering process. I've never failed an SJT before. I personally thought this one was very straight forward. Obviously not!
Safety was at the forefront of all my answers.I am yet to know if I’m successful or not, but the important thing to remember is that it’s always about safety first, and rules, and honesty. So if the question about doing some checks but only the important ones to get away on time you answered as that and not as “do all the checks and be 2 minutes late” (or similar), then it’s probably a pit fall.
I'm wondering if they have looked at the applications again to get the number down.Yeah I got rejected too. Really not sure why to be honest. I currently work at Network Rail so all my answers in the application were safety and rules driven.
The SJT was simple and straightforward i.e you're taking over a train, previous driver is in a rush and just wants to hand over, answer is go through the paperwork properly, defects with the driver etc, rather than the "just check the important bits, or let the driver go answers.
ah well, good luck to the rest
Didn't think of that. Entirely possible I suppose.I'm wondering if they have looked at the applications again to get the number down.
