Probably if it needs towing in!Has it broken down?
It tracked on bus times as working an L3 service from Truro this lunchtime and appears to have stopped near Perranarworthal / Rame area without completing the journey.Has it broken down?
I think it was said that the worst Darts (chassis in a bad way) might go. The short ones have had very arduous lives. The Darts aren’t being replaced. It’s the Solars, Eclipses, ALXs and Presidents at Somerset being replaced
You’re right. I’m trying to remember that post from a while ago that gave us the detailsI think it was said that the worst Darts (chassis in a bad way) might go. The short ones have had very arduous lives.
See my link and quote to Marc’s tweet in post 17428….I think it was said that the worst Darts (chassis in a bad way) might go. The short ones have had very arduous lives.
What short ones? I never mentioned condition! I’d expect all to go in May.See my link and quote to Marc’s tweet in post 17428….
I’ve linked you both an accurate source and still you’re speculating differently
No idea! I linked your Twitter to answer their question, and they’ve still decided differently. What short ones? I never mentioned condition! I’d expect all to go in May.
Possibly the end for this one if it’s suffered a major unit failure?32128 was towed into Camborne by a Jose Recovery wrecker at 1752 this evening.
I would think it probably is the end depending on the nature of the fault.Possibly the end for this one if it’s suffered a major unit failure?
Has 32125 been stripped for parts? Unless it was a unit failure, I’d have thought all BASE ALXs were heading to Ensign, unless some were scrapped instead?I would think it probably is the end depending on the nature of the fault.
Of course 32125 could provide spare parts if necessary to get it back on the road.
All speculation of course as we don’t know what the problem is with it and if there are enough buses to cover its absence short term or permanently.
I think they were all purchased from BASE by First so not sure if they will go to Ensign for resale or elsewhere for scrap.Has 32125 been stripped for parts? Unless it was a unit failure, I’d have thought all BASE ALXs were heading to Ensign, unless some were scrapped instead?
according to bus times it still regularly operates on the 21/21A.Trident President 33235 made an unexpected stray away from college services to front line service 21A this afternoon, pictured here at Taunton Castle Way:
Thanks for the info - that's useful.By then it will have been touched by the low fares pilot too.
The AbB website can’t show Summer 2022 prices until the fares pilot prices are confirmed as all Cornwall adventures are within scope of the scheme.
Yes you’re right. It’s designed to be optimal on a smartphone. Think visitors away from home. The prices are correct as of today, not incorrect. Thanks for the info - that's useful.
I think it would be better to say "prices coming soon" then, rather than incorrect info as now.
The AbB website is pretty awful on a desktop PC, and seems designed to show pretty graphics on a smartphone, rather than anything useful.
Might have been covering for a VOR Gemini perhaps is usually used on Bicton?I see surviving red front 32277 is tracking today after many weeks off but I believe it’s been working on school duties which don’t track.
Up at Buses of Somerset some weeks ago a picture of forlorn 42942 at Yeovil appeared on here. 65007 was also in store there. Have they both been removed yet, possibly by Wigleys?
42942has indeed gone. The Scania is still here.I see surviving red front 32277 is tracking today after many weeks off but I believe it’s been working on school duties which don’t track.

Must be one of the batch transferring from Solent to SomersetA few days late, I'm afraid, because I've been on a break in Torquay, but on Thursday last, the 10th, mid-morning, I saw a First S.W. Olympia-liveried East Lancs-Dennis Trident under suspended tow, heading north on the M5 just north of Cullompton.
Perhaps being used to then send off the loaned Geminis to Buses of Somerset unless plans have changed? The Olympian tree lopper has been in Camborne today. Upper deck had a number of tree branches on it so been in use somewhere in Cornwall.
Volvo B7TL 32121 has appeared back in use whilst a unidentifiable Solo SR has been towed in.
