Heard that Kendal are getting new deckers for 555 in a few months time..

Interesting news. Although, I'm not convinced that an upgrade is required.

If new KL does get new vehicles it would do a lot in the way oh seeing of Leylands...

According the the Stagecoach internal magazine Newcastle and Sheffield's new E400H's will go into service in March.Could these be the vehicles Lee mentioned that would displace N reg Olys?

I seen 20436 both on 600 and 51 today.
Only seen 15685 and 15686 on 300. 15686 left Workington 19 minutes late en route to Carlisle.

Another very ill volvo B10M 20923 on Sellafield 85.
Newby 16184 came down as staff shuttle and went on to annexe.
Private Hire coach 52635 on annexe too.

No Josh, AIUI there are 14 E400s due as well as 26(?) E400Hs and an unknown number of E200s.

I don't know any details of Kendal's E400s other than they are integrals. I would hope they have 6-speed boxes.

B10M on Moorclose 51 has been involved in a RTC with a parked car on Lorton Avenue.

Solo coming one way on 50, B10M reversing up to allow solo to squeeze past - reversing and causing damage to a VW Golf along its side. Can't confirm B10M.

Third incident in two years involving B10M's on Lorton Avenue, other two being mirrors knocked off. SOLOS please Stagecoach!

Noticed some Citi Darts now carry megarider adverts in the North East style.

Also, Reays now have adverts on their Primo's for a "Kidz" single ticket, 50p to anywhere in Carlisle. Adverts on them for a Family Dayhopper too, which is £4.50. All of this, and the Stagecoach buses STILL had more passengers on :roll:

Heard that Kendal are getting new deckers for 555 in a few months time....

These are the first new buses for Kendal, since the Mercedes 709D's in 1996.

47249 got towed out of the Bus Station by Heysham Trucks tow truck today.
This is the third bus to be towed-in this year to my knowledge. The others being 14208 & 22721

The E400s at Preston are just like Tridents but with different bodies so don't think anyone would benefit from that. Plus Preston would be downgrading...

Try to manhandle them away from stagecoach to get more passengers probaly.

The normal Alexander Dennis Enviro 400 for Walkergate depot (Newcastle) have started to arrive now. There are 14 in total. Not long after the delivery of these has finished we will start to see the Hybrid Enviro 400's arrive and put into service. These will displace other Enviro 400's around the North East it is anticipated.

Judging from a conversation I had yesterday some Enviro 200 & Enviro 300 will not be long behind these in arriving.

Also, I wouldnt want them ex Newcastle Enviros on the 555, they are utter rubbish!

I will be on the look out in the NE from what I've heard, hopefully better than Manchester's E400H's- when they eventually arrive!
Definitely couldn't see ADL ones on the 555 some of the 07's and 57's don't sound very happy... new ADL ones will appreciated I think!
- alright in the city, but would have to be Scania Enviros surely for the 555, from Stagecoach's point of view anyway.

OK so Newcastle is to receive 40 new deckers by March as well as E200's and E300's? So 40 deckers displace older E400's which in turn displace Volvo Olys and some other vehicles? Assume all the new stuff will be kept in region?

The Service Delivery Managed for Newcastle has stated they are wanting to keep the Enviro 400's that are displaced by the newer ones in Newcastle. To cut a long story short there is to be a massive cascading programe for the area and all the Volvo B10M PS, Dennis Dart Dash should be withdrawn in theory along with the last of the Newcastle based Olympians. According to sources in Hull when there new Enviros arrive Stagecoach Teeside are getting some ALX400s and these in theory would displace the LONG Olympians 18631 etc (R/OVN). These could easily come to the North West? But I must stress while the arrival of the Enviro 200/300/400 is all confirmed the ALX400 story has yet to be but seems to be gathering some pace.

Either way, Stagecoach North East will be pretty much Enviro and ALX300 in a few months time!

Preston Bus will be sold to Rotala from midnight. The 11 Gammull Lane transfers to Stagecoach operation from tomorrow. 11 vehicles (2 Scania SD's and 9 assorted Solos) will remain with Stagecoach.
