Still waiting for GBRf to formally confirm the final Class 56 ‘donor’ identities!

69009 has been painted into Gbrf normal blue and will leave Eastleigh soon. 69010 will go into the paint shop next and 69011 has completed its mainline test runs

Interestingly, WNXX report this morning that 69009 is due out of Eastleigh Works on the 23rd (planned), that it will carry a special livery and will be named, 69009 will then go in for painting before 69010, meanwhile 69011 has been out for mainline testing with 66765 for insurance

My source was probably inaccurate as I heard from a different source that 69009 is to be painted into a special livery. Maybe 69010 is to be painted into Gbrf blue

Can anyone confirm which Class 56 69011 came from? I have seen it reported as 56201 (56009 in old money) and 56032 in different places

That is impressive, I wonder if other class 52 liveries will follow… golden ochre next?

Can anyone make out the name, WESTERN is clear but I can’t make out the second word?

Is this the BEST Class 69 livery so far ? Don't really think Golden Ochre or Desert Sand would stay very clean for long, but what about the shade of green used on some Westerns?

Liveries which could suit the 69:
- Black with silver waistband (10000/1, 10201-3, 20003, etc).
- Light green and brown ("Falcon").
- Network Southeast.
- Rail Express Systems (RES).
- Red stripe Railfreight.
- Southern Malachite green + yellow lining.
- 47522 "Doncaster Enterprise" apple green + black/white lining.
- 97561 "Midland Counties 150" maroon + gold lining.
