Yes, seen that. Somewhat surprised they found a pot of the right shade of brown!37175 now adorns a new repainted side panel after a brush with a hedgerow

Surprised that one is still going, along with 37003. Assuming the rest of the replacements are still a way off yet! Maybe they'll go once the 3 B9s on loan to Eastern Counties come down though?Yes, seen that. Somewhat surprised they found a pot of the right shade of brown!
If they do interwork - and the timetable suggests that may still be the case because otherwise any journey on Service 2 which didn't interwork with another route would have a 31 minute layover at Taunton Parade - then I don't know why they don't simply run it as one route (ie. Service 2 between Lane Estate and Priorswood) but I wonder also if they might find a way to run a more convenient bus service through to the new estate on the southern edge of Taunton, just off the A38 by extending either the 1 or the 2. The odd thing is that one or two of the Taunton town routes simply replaced parts of other ones when they commenced: for example the Galmington area, covered by Service 7, used to be the western part of Service 4 if I recall correctly.Quick question about the new electric buses for Somerset if I may?
Looking at the routes they are to be introduced on I have a question about why the 2 Town Service is one of them? I have had a skim through the thread and couldn't see anything so apologies if this has been asked.
The 2 if I am correct interworks with the 4 to Lane estate (or at least it used to!). Does this mean that the 4 will also get the new electric buses or is there to be service changes to the 2 when the buses are introduced such as increased frequency, or it will interwork with the 1 instead? I can't seem to figure out how it will work!
Just thought it would have been better for the 6 or even 7 to have the electrics introduced instead of an hourly town service but I am sure there is a reason behind it.
no BoS eitherNo more Kernow / Cornwall by Kernow. The website page is now rebranded to FirstBus - Cornwall :
Cornwall | First Bus
Our UK Bus division operates around a fifth of local bus services in the UK and is one of the largest bus operators with a fleet of approximately 6,400 buses around the England, Scotland and Wales. We have bus routes serving 40 of the UK’s largest towns and cities providing great value public...www.firstbus.co.uk
Indeed, which we were forwarned of when repaints started in corporate livery.no BoS either
Strange brand anyway. It translated as 'Cornwall by Cornwall'.No more Kernow / Cornwall by Kernow. The website page is now rebranded to FirstBus - Cornwall :

Yes, I always thought it a bit odd. I assume it meant "see Cornwall by travelling on Kernow buses" or something like that.Strange brand anyway. It translated as 'Cornwall by Cornwall'.
While the logo / name seemed a little odd, the branding and livery was somewhat smart and I'll rather miss it when it returns to corporate blandness.Strange brand anyway. It translated as 'Cornwall by Cornwall'.
Quite agree. It was a well-designed brand -- apart from the translation! While the logo / name seemed a little odd, the branding and livery was somewhat smart and I'll rather miss it when it returns to corporate blandness.
37177 is also now SORN.37155 now SORN.
That's a shame as I seem to recall that being one of the better ones. At least compared to monstrosities like 37003 and 3717537177 is also now SORN.
Meanwhile the awful 37003 seems indestructible. That's a shame as I seem to recall that being one of the better ones. At least compared to monstrosities like 37003 and 37175![]()
I wonder whether it'll withdrawn once 37711/37722/37725 enter service, although given 37155 and 37177 have already fallen and 32677, 37175 and 37176 have upcoming MOTs, I suspect it'll stay on. Unless there are more B9s arriving soon. The world will fall silent when 37003 is withdrawn
Does that mean all the Geminis are going?I wonder whether it'll withdrawn once 37711/37722/37725 enter service, although given 37155 and 37177 have already fallen and 32677, 37175 and 37176 have upcoming MOTs, I suspect it'll stay on. Unless there are more B9s arriving soon.
They've been meant to go for the past 2 and a half years! But sadly, yes, all of the remaining 17 will be gone, the question is more when. Other than the 3 B9s that were due into Cornwall but are instead being loaned to Eastern Counties, there are no other known replacements and so they could be knocking around for a while!Does that mean all the Geminis are going?
37175 is apparently due for withdrawal at the end of the school term- unless it gets a last minute stay of executionI wonder whether it'll withdrawn once 37711/37722/37725 enter service, although given 37155 and 37177 have already fallen and 32677, 37175 and 37176 have upcoming MOTs, I suspect it'll stay on. 20th is 37175 withdrawal date.37175 is apparently due for withdrawal at the end of the school term- unless it gets a last minute stay of execution
37177 is also now SORN.
Its MOT isn’t due until 18 June 2025, not sure it it suffered a serious unit failure.Did 37177 have a major unit failure or due MOT?
Shame that one's gone (though inevitable), I had it for a few runs back in April and it seemed to be a bit of a flyer that one. Fairly smartly presented inside and a bit of poke on it - unlike some of its tired and wheezy cousins. Its MOT isn’t due until 18 June 2025, not sure it it suffered a serious unit failure.
Didn't Optibus spot that?It appears that BoS have been operating the 28A & 54 illegally. They are over 50km with no split, and tacographs appear not to be used. This will no doubt explain the 'staff sickness' on many journeys this week. I can't see that the journeys that are running are doing so legally.
Presumably not. We'll most likely see something in Notices and Proceedings soon.Didn't Optibus spot that?
