Came face to face with 172338 and 172338 at Birmingham Snow hill today. They are so smart and quiet! I got some footage as well! Also went on and photographed 150001 and 153375 again!

A unknown 172 has just past our house (Langley Green - Rowley Regis)on route to B'ham!:p

If my theory is correct, it will be at Brum for 11:07 and then get back to Stourbridge at 12:00 if it running the same as last weekend then it will go as far as Whitlocks End!!!! and return to Worcester!

The 172's running on the scan i posted are for LM staff only and not for public use!!

I guess the times will be + - a few minutes either side!

I think you will see one in the morning at Rowley Regis at 10:44am and B'ham Snow Hill around 11:00am as today! So If you live round Stourbridge it will be 15mins earlier.

Would they let a Cross Country waif and stray on as well ?

I think its only right that staff get a good look at the trains before they are introduced, it will also help when passengers ask them questions about the trains. Ive seen passengers on the Snow Hill lines get confused by the door buttons on a 153 let alone a 172 rolling up! lol

Some passengers I saw on a HST didn't know how to open the doors...one said they caught them every day for 15 years and they still couldn't open up

Not sure on that, but there will be some special STAFF trains that will run on:

See scan below for times!
I got it!!

I filmed it at Droitwich Spa - run by 172345. I do like that mechanical transmission.

Here is a poor quality picture of it.

On the way home on my bike I saw 150214 going to Whitlocks End and unidentified grey 66 hauling a scrap train towards Worcester - I know that isn't much info but does anyone know which train that may have been or at least which livery it was.

I'm going off to see the 172 come through at Dorridge. Or near enough, at Bentley Heath level crossing.

Came through at 10:53 and you couldn't hear it approach. The bridge shook indicating it was going pretty quick! However unlike the Chilterns or Arriva XCs, it glided through. You could mistake it very easily for a EMU. It was 172345 again and I have named it after my dog, who was with me, Barney! I know I am going to get a lot of lols at this!

Good name big noses for them. Would they look similar to the 378s without the "noses!"

I guess they would look like 378s without gangways, they have the same lights and everything
