There are three prices I'm getting for Leighton Buzzard to Willesden, £4,320 from LBZ to WIJ. £4,424 from LBZ to London Travelcard zones 3-6 and the previously mentioned £5,616 from LBZ to zones 1-6. I can't see a ticket from LBZ to WIJ that gives me zones 1-2 travel that is less than the £5,616...
I will be starting a new job on Monday 29th July. My commute will be from Leighton Buzzard to Highbury & Islington via London Euston.
My query is should I get a season ticket from LBZ to EUS which would cost me £4,600 a year and then get an Oyster travelcard from Zone 1 (Euston) to Zone 2...
Of course. I would have got a Headstone Lane to Euston before today, but today I renewed my season ticket to go to Harrow and Wealdstone so now I would buy a Harrow to Euston ticket.
I mentioned my 'fun' last week to the woman at the desk when I renewed my ticket. She seemed to think it was...
I only ever use Oyster when I'm at work and going further towards London than Harrow. I understand that I couldn't use an Oyster to combine with my ticket if I wanted to use the Oyster for Harrow to Euston. Like you say, by the time I get off the train and tap in I'll be waiting for another...
I think the fact that there is still some debate and discussion shows that when the RPI said that he was smart and knew what he was doing was just hot air. I joined this forum and created this thread because I knew I'd find rail experts here and not just bother with a general forum and hope I...
How is Headstone Lane on the WCML? NR trains can't stop at Headstone Lane. The only line that goes through Headstone Lane is the London Overground line. I go past Headstone Lane on my Leighton Buzzard-Harrow and Wealdstone train. The only time I go through Headstone Lane is when I get my second...
I've already decided that next Tuesday (when my current week season card expires) I will ask for a season ticket from Leighton Buzzard to Harrow and Wealdstone. I can easily afford the extra £1 a week. :D
No. The main lines are next to the Overground lines but the Overground stations are mostly enclosed so I don't actually go through Headstone Lane but go past it every morning. I often look out of the window and wonder why my LM train can't stop at a special Headstone Lane platform, just for me. ;)
I will answer the rest of your post tomorrow. I'm just off to bed now but I will answer the first question.
Yes, after he showed me some badge in a leather wallet, he asked if I had any ID. I showed him my two part season ticket which had the initial of my first name and my last name. He...
Of course I will. :) I intend to write to them and hope for a written reply. I will scan and upload any letter(s) I receive from LM. It is the very least I can do considering the fantastic response and advice I've received in this thread. :)
I might return to this thread when I'm writing the...
What I will do tomorrow morning is get off at Watford Junction and use the London Overground from there to Headstone Lane. When I get back to Leighton Buzzard tomorrow evening I will speak to someone at the ticket desk for their view on whether my using the LBZ-HDL season ticket and that...
Yeah, that's the main worry I have about getting an LBZ-HRW season ticket; if I should chance upon the same RPI, or him me, then I feel a bit unsure about how he'd react to me if he recognised me. Judging by the posts you've all made saying that a season ticket to Harrow and Wealdstone is the...
I've just been back on the NRE site looking at prices for a return ticket from HRW to Euston. I'm getting prices of £8.50 for a return ticket. Saturday is off-peak yes? I then have a disabled adults railcard which then reduces the price from £8.50 to £5.60. Would anyone mind confirming that for...
