No worries. I know it's easy to say but try not to worry about it. I was nervous beforehand but it's been brilliant. A lot of work, but enjoyable. And take every opportunity to use the sim. It really helps.
I wouldn't say its been a grind because I've really enjoyed it, but you do need to put the work in. I have Saturdays off to relax (do the chores to which I've been assigned) and Sunday evening in the hotel I go back over my quizzes.
The first week or so it feels a bit like information overload...
Just to repeat the advice throuout this thread regarding signalling school, there is a LOT of information to take in. Don't let that put you off or worry you though.
I'll be starting week 10 in York next week and despite the warnings on here, I still wasn't quite ready for how much there is to...
I've been feeling very lucky lately too. It took just under a year of applying before I got the job offer in late Feb, and everything was finalised just as the covid kicked off over here. Due to start school on the 18th.

A question for the people who are on the 27/4 intake, and others if it applies.
I've been offered a position, had my medical and passed all the tests. I have however been told "no lone working" as I have arthritis. The arthritis is managed by medication but the lone working restriction is "in...
Ah right thanks, so I should in theory be OK just not able to work one of the single manned boxes. That's what I'd thought, just didn't want NR to not take me on because of it. It may also be that in the future I can come off the tablets too which I hope will be in my favour.
Does anybody have any experience of being told 'no lone working'?
I had my medical on Tuesday and was told that I'd sailed through all the tests barring the urine sample which we have to wait for, but because of some of the medication I'm on I'm not to work alone.
Just hoping that this doesn't...
Hi all, does anyone have a rough timescale from a verbal offer through to medical and then to start date? I was offered a place on the future opportunities from a different interview that I went to and keen to get on the 4th May start if possible as I should then finish just before my holiday.
