I was very interested in your post concerning your observations/photographs of HST power cars under construction in 1976.
I have been researching the genesis of the original black and yellow livery and the reasons for its abandonment to dispel some of the mythology that has built up around the original scheme. I wondered if you kept any detailed notes from your trips/time at the Works. Do your photographs record the identities of power cars featured with correct dates? Such information would be really useful, especially if you recorded power cars in the paint shop.
Not many people were interested in the HSTs in the early days so obtaining accurate information from the period is quite difficult. I wondered therefore, whether you perhaps could drop me a line. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
