Nonsense. There will be no pay deal until the terms and conditions included in the offer are revoked. I thought when the proposed strike during cop26 was announced it would never happen. Now I’m almost convinced it will.

I’d imagine a major downside is that management come to rely on spare conductors manning the gates and start to not replace vacant jobs within gate line.

You will know that negotiations have been taking place between RMT and Scotrail with regards to the long-standing dispute over the lack of a pay increase.
You may also have seen a communication sent out today by Scotrail Chief...
Does this have to go to a vote to be accepted. From folk I’ve spoken to, they were expecting a lot more than this, given how much money they’ve lost during the strike action.
I read it as dont call us we'll call you. On hold usually means at least 6 months.

First thing I've heard.
Just received a e-mail from Scotrail...
'Due to a change in circumstances on the recruitment programme for train driver, the following locations are on hold in the meantime:
Glasgow Queen Street
Stirling
Gourock
Inverness
Wick
Kyle of Lochalsh
Aberdeen
Dumfries
Stranraer
Dundee'
Obviously due...
Should also be noted that paytalks with Conducters/Guards havent even started yet and they also work 4/6 with Sundays as overtime, so even if the Drivers do accept sunday as the working week, there would still be cancelations if the guards dont agree to change T&C. Fun times ahead...
