Im in the same situation. East midlands trains will put you though the course. Personally I have decided just the get the course done myself, it's the last thing I want to be worrying about when I start training.
Just spoke to the pensions department in my brigade. He said that we can transfer our pensions into a defined benefit pension scheme. Just need to find out if the toc would allow me to transfer in.
Morning all. Sorry the hijack the post. Does anyone know if you can transfer in to the railway pension from the fire service pension? Have about 13 years service.
