I'd be interesting in canvassing the opinions of anyone who's visited the Bowes Railway recently, with a view to deciding whether I go to see it or not. I have a preliminary view but I won't share it yet to avoid biasing the thread.

Too fat to fit comfortably. This is fine if I'm e.g. with my wife but not for me (or the person next to me!) if I'm on my own.
First class can arrange to be on the 1 side of 1x2.
First class is also far more civilised if I want to work, but the former is the fundamental reason.
No idea what the rules are but to peek inside your can (before slamming it shut ;)) one would hope that the definition of service can't be too "strict".
I used Weardale Railway as a service on Saturday. Admittedly we went out of our way to use it, but it genuinely got 3 of us to Bishop Auckland...
I would change the background colour of the station name as it implies it's on the picadilly line

I was on a 142 at a heritage railway today and gawping through the window in the door* to watch the driver. On a relatively sharp curve (15mph limit apparently for the curve only) the train (not local) gearbox light kept flickering on. I made a mental note to ask the driver about this. Then...
