Trains begins to move-off before passengers could alight (now confirmed a possible stop-short)

That could be to be fair. Sorry, to clarify, they were at one end of the coach when the train arrived (unsure if there was a panel there or if it was inoperative), after 5s or so they then moved through the coach to the other end where they could access a panel and unlock the doors. 1626369646...

Trains begins to move-off before passengers could alight (now confirmed a possible stop-short)

Could be. The only thing that makes me doubt that is about 10-15s elapsed between the train coming to a stop and the driver pulling forward and there were (if I recall correctly) some buzzes before that happened (whilst the guard was walking through the coach, to another (working?) panel).

Trains begins to move-off before passengers could alight (now confirmed a possible stop-short)

Was on a much delayed ScotRail service today, the train (a Class 158) pulled into the station however the guard was far from a door so wasn’t able to immediately unlock and open the doors for passengers to alight. Before they could do so the train started to depart, moving about a foot or two...

Major disruption out of London Kings Cross (28/5)

Can confirm the 801s are using their backup diesel generators for movements between Kings Cross and New Southgate.

Major disruption out of London Kings Cross (28/5)

Any ideas why each train would have to wait at PBO (about 15 mins) to contact the signaller before departing?

Major disruption out of London Kings Cross (28/5)

Looks like LNER are now saying on Twitter that trains are continuing to KGX with a ‘diversion’.

Major disruption out of London Kings Cross (28/5)

Good question, do I recall correctly that they have diesel backup generators?

Major disruption out of London Kings Cross (28/5)

On 1E22. Originally terminating at PBO. Over the tannoy announced that we’re reinstated to KGX as they’ve been able to open a line. We’re on an 801 though so presumably electrified.

Carmont (near Stonehaven) derailment - 12 August 2020

Trying to get my head round how everything has come to rest to, I think reply #703 makes a good point/start. That is that the leading power car derailed to the left on the approach to the bridge, impacting the masonry parapet head-on and becoming stiff whilst still being pushed from the rear...

    LNER Azuma (Class 800/801) Diagrams

What are the new diagrams being introduced? It looks like the 1933 KGX-LDS forms part of one anecdotally based on some bookings I've made in June.

    LNER Azuma (Class 800/801)

Interestingly it looks like different sets have different headrests in first class? I was on one last week that had leather headrests but today it's got the fabric headrests as shown in the original pictures. The leather ones are much nicer, and adjustable too.

Meaning of “906: Service is restricted”

I’ve been trying to book a couple of train journeys recently and I’ve seen for a few that there appears to be no Advance Purchase tickets available and on trying to reserve a seat (through the LNER website), the reservation system returns the following error: “906: Service is restricted”...

    LNER Azuma (Class 800/801)

Curious about this also, I've had no luck so far booking seats for 15th May. No AP tickets available and can't make seat reservations either it seems.

    LNER Azuma (Class 800/801) Diagrams

Planning to just do KGX-PBO (1D11) on 15th as unfortunately have to be somewhere in the afternoon. On 17th with full NL65 diagram I'll probably do a DON-KGX on 1A12 in the morning and then KGX-HUL-DON on 1H10 & 1J10 in the evening. I expect that final leg will be quite quiet!
