Totally gutted by todays events and thoughts go out those affected. Felt numb looking at the initial photos, Especially as the ‘other‘ power car was no where in sight and smoke rising.
With regard to expectations of accuracy about specific information relating rolling stock, track and...
Could this be route learning etc in anticipation for train loads of “Bottom Ash“ from the Incinerator to the new concrete block manufacturing plant?...
Superb photos chap!
The future looks to be hopper shaped.:D
Realtime and Railrecord don’t appear to show what the return working was.....
Only shows the Newhaven to Neasden path but not if actually ran. Any ideas?
Hahahaha.......that’ll teach me not to check.....and note to self re Alcohol in the mornings. It’s not big and it’s not clever, isopropyl alcohol is for your hands not your mouth.
Well off the BR boat trains from Victoria it was a case of get off the train and walk into the terminal at Newhaven Marine station, alittle further from Newhaven Harbour station off normal scheduled services. They used to run CEPs and an MLV, caught it a few times. In BR Blue and Grey and also...
Superb photos chap! Great shot of the wagons in the loading area, it shows how it’s going to work. Such a shame that so few wagons can be squeezed in, but its better than nothing.
Nothing showing as confirmed for tomorrow yet, either for the FL morning run to Day Aggregates or the DB afternoon...
Got 66188 working 6V00 and 66113 working 6O13 at the crossing on the country side of Plumpton station. Great to see that the terminal is now open and operating trains. Takes me back to the good old days of Cromptons and 73s and RMC JGAs..... :)
Totally! thanks for the gen. just hope that the flipping weather clears up. Hopefully going to get 6V00 on the UP and the 6O13 on the down at around the same time as they are both booked to pass at Keynes Jcn at 12:50...if they are running right time.
Nice one, thanks for the gen! Will watch with interest.
Just a quick question, any idea what a rail swing is? I am an old hand at Pway but I’ve never heard the term.
Yep spot on! 66105 and the rake of JNA GERs.
This mornings Newhaven To Acton was 59004, approaching Plumpton.
DB 66110 running 6O24 (673C) Acton T.C. To Newhaven Day Aggregates on the JNA GERs rake.
66107 working 6V00 Newhaven to Acton T.C. running 33 minutes late from Lewes, crawling up Hamsey Bank. KEA VTG 3207???, fourth wagon from the rear of the train had what sounded like dragging brakes (screaming) as it passed Hamsey AHBC. Might account for the late running.
Quick heads up if anyone is interested, Railrecord showing 66107 on the Acton T.C. to Newhaven this morning and could be a second working if that 14:38 from Acton runs.
