Maximum Journey Times now on Oysterfares Fare Finder

Well, that's fine if all your journeys are cross London journeys. But people have other reasons for using the underground.

    Using a fake Railcard

At what time of day have you been making these journeys?

Has a heritage railway ever prosecuted under bylaws?

I would be surprised if the tax authorities are not aware and would expect that the heritage railways are doing this after receiving very good guidance about whether it is legitimate.

    Are fine consequences too overkill?

I would have said their role is to deter and detect ticketless travel. But they are only effective for that day and it probably has no longer term impact on those who prefer not to pay.

    Using a fake Railcard

It is called an out of court settlement because that's exactly what it is.

Request for help: LNER Fare Trial Ripoff

Is it permanent? I must have missed that announcement.

I believe they already have covered standing accommodation.

The requirement is for 500 places, with no mention of any needing to be seats (although that changes next year when 100 need to be seats). As East Kilbride have a Bronze licence they must already meet those requirements. This is everything that the Scottish FA Club Licensing Manual says about...

    Football

This is almost as silly as the suggestion of corrupt referees a day or two ago. £300 to a goalkeeper 60 years ago was a very significant amount of money, but to bribe a top flight keeper these days would require a very large amount of money - quite possibly millions of pounds. The only ground...

Is this Delay Repay or Something Else?

Any claim should be made to CrossCountry - it was their train that you couldn't get on and that didn't have first class accommodation. A 1 hour delay.

Freedome Pass Misuse - Advise Needed

Don't include this - it is insincere and meaningless.

    Football

Buckie Thistle have released a statement complaining about how unfair it all is, but in Scottish football circles it is strongly suspected that along with most Highland League clubs (other than Brechin City) they have no real interest in being promoted. A consequence of Buckie's non-promotion is...

How to respond to prosecution letter

The best approach would be to send a letter by email as an attachment. In my opinion this sort of matter should be addressed in the more formal manner of a letter. You can find on many threads in this section advice on the sort of letter you should send - @Hadders sets this out in a post early...

For most of us, more than 90 minutes on the underground has long since ceased to be fun.
