I know one of them on that course. They were waiting for another depot then offered Cambridge so they took that.
There is currently far too many trainees and no instructors atm anyways
The best one was a woman who put her coffee in the door directly behind my cab to try stop the door from closing. Coffee erupts in the door and i couldnt help but laugh. Think she eexpected the door to spring back open
Haha I buy my own belly busting stuff I deserve to be obese not a tiny size 6. Haha
But it's true it seems to be an issue. I dont mind I enjoy being single at the moment
I am going against everyone else here but dating is so hard now. Mainly because I work late shifts and also men are weird about a girls earning more than them. Find it easier to date people from similar work now as they tend to understand. Or maybe I am more picky now haha
Self management is the answer. Thats the basis of being a train driver.... how you self manage yourself not to have incidences etc.
As ComUtoR says... decline the offer... but you will be waiting a long time til you get another. Hitchin depot & a few from KGX depot are filling up the spaces in...
I get what you're saying but you can snooze in a back cab on way there for example. A lot of drivers live in Peterborough and commute to KGX and that is over an hour sometimes. So it is manageable youll just have to get used to it. More than likely they will do stops at hornsey for the above...
For the guy from Shefford... there are many other drivers who travel further than you so sadly you will have to suck it up. wgc will no doubt be full and all new trainees will be shipped out to Hornsey. Don’t read up and dress comfortable but smart. Trousers and a shirt and pullover are fine...
Unless you're me and call them out on the PA especially on that Cambridge service you are talking about. A commuter then said I could not blame the full size bikes for the lack of space and I politely said I can and I just did.
Good luck with finding someone who will swap a sat with you.
Youre best off swapping whole weeks or just using annual leave days, you can swap shifts on days though if a driver likes an early pm and another likes a late pm.
Earlies - start times between about 0400 & 0730 amd finish between 12.45 & 16.30 ish
Lates - start times around 12.15 up to 1800 amd finish between 10pm and 0200am
Everything varies you wont get a specific time
